John Sanderson Wells, a British artist, was born in 1872 and died in 1955. He was a painter of genre scenes, sporting events, hunts and animals. He exhibited in London from 1895 to 1904. Besides scenes of traditional hunts, he illustrated famous episodes of horse races.
